Biography: A Spanish descendent who entered the San Carlos Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Valencia at the age of 18. Up on turning 22 Aldo continued his artistic studies privately with Aldolfo Ferrer`Amblat, Chairman of Art Studies at the San Carlos Academy. He also visited the major museums in Europe at this time to study the famous masters-Velasquez, Goya, Renoir,Monet, and Sorolla among others.

In 1980 he began to exhibit in Spain, specifically Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona. With positive reception of his work s, and participated in the International Geneva Art Fair. Beginning in 1980’s and continuing until to day development Aldo has developed what is called "matured" style. His dramatic usage of colour and "texturing" capture his subject matter with unique flair.

His artwork is known to be mysterious yet recognisable motives in Aldos paintings seem to point to realism, but in fact the canvases hover between fantasy and reality. He conveys not merely image, but mood and atmosphere as well. With pride we offer the art work of to day's Spanish painter, Aldo to the art connoisseur of the world.

Aldo is known as a painter of the "Light of the South". His sweeping brush strokes, bold swaths of colour, and heavy impost capture the eye and draw one inward so that one is actually there in the scene, feeling the light and heat of the sun, the salt and sea spray, and hearing the crashing surf.

When it comes to his artwork, as much as the faces and bodies themselves, the dark backgrounds also contribute to the classical quality of the work. He makes the effort to highlights faces in order to make them emerge from a dark background. Generally, he works with strong light effect s. Figuration is highlighted by means of a stark contrast in the effects of light and shades.

Repeatedly there is that shock of recognition, slowly, but surely, figurative forms take shape in the abstract planes.

Even more subtly, human figures are assimilated into the background. Although the works is more introspective, the emotions seem to be looking for a way out. Feelings of desire and pass ion figure in many of the paintings, creating a certain tension.
