Biography: Michele Rene Ledoux is a photographer of the texture of secrets. Her very tactile works are beds of revelation, seeking to impart the essence of Salvation.
Using digital media to create compelling, multi-layered images, Michele Renée Ledoux strives to make people notice the unmarked monuments of time, where the man-made develops a life of its own; where the natural and the constructed merge into one another through a slow process of both deterioration and growth. "I take something seemingly ordinary and put it in the spotlight where it deserves to be," she says. Her works are emotionally stirring combinations of written word and photographic images - Michele's short poetic inscriptions are at once joyful, reflective and wise. Though subtle in color and utterly serene in disposition, The images are certainly not unremarkable - from unexpected viewpoints she discovers extraordinary light in images of what might be a secret garden or long-abandoned castle.
Michele has participated in numerous exhibitions in California and Colorado. She currently works as a freelance artist, a graphic designer, and an artistic director for community-based local arts events, projects and publications.
