Biography: www.jonnajohansson.net www.00130ryhma.net www.temporaryspace.org
In my art work I deal with humanity at a large scale. I’m especially considering the position and the roles of women in today’s society.
Nowadays we are living in a world where globalisation, mass consumption and material values play a significant role in our lives and therefore I think it’s very important to deal with subjects such as the growing poverty of individuals, inequality and substance addictions. Everyday life for some people, which is often kept in silence.
My aim is not to moralize but to provoke to think and have opinions about the themes in question.
I have closely chosen the images from different media that are the basis of my paintings.
