Biography: Gall works with images of people from old photographs collected from family and friends and foreign architectural environments. By handling the figures in a generic manner, not specific to time or place, the artist suggests a universal notion of family histories and shared memories. The ornate surroundings are meant not only to decorate, but to heighten the sense of disorientation. An Ohio native, Gall received her BFA and MA in fine arts from Rutgers University. Currently living in Zanesville, Gall has been exhibiting with the gallery since 1997.
