Biography: New York based painter Duncan Hannah depicts people and places reminiscent of a prewar England, as he has come to know through literature and history. These landscapes and cityscapes populated by young adults and adolescents portray the illusion of idyllic and hopeful times.
Originally from Minneapolis, he has exhibited extensively throughout the country, with recent shows in New York, Miami and Minneapolis. His work is in numerous public and corporate collections including the Art Institute of Chicago, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Chase Manhattan Bank and Reader's Digest.
