Biography: Ben Messina is Australia’s finest emerging talent in Landscape Photography. His ability to capture inspiring imagery originates from the beauty that surrounded him whilst growing up in Cairns, Far North Queensland.
Wanting to share the picturesque landscape, Ben began his photographic journey. From the age of ten, he captured his first images on a Pentax K1000, using Black and White film. Being the son of an established, professional photographer, he was fortunate enough to have his fathers experience and a fully functioning Black and White darkroom at his fingertips. Ben turned professional at the age of eighteen, capturing
everything from cutting edge commercial photography through to portraiture.
However, his true passion has always been for landscape, beauty waiting to be captured… Concentrating on gathering a collection over many years, his talent has flared with time.
Ben took the courageous step of opening his first gallery in Cairns, in 2004. It was so successful that he now has work displayed in private and corporate collections all over the world. With the phenomenal response to his first gallery, Ben has now expanded to Brisbane, recently opening his second gallery, named Gallery M in the heritage-listed Brisbane Arcade.
Ben's images are available in editions of 100, 200 and 450 and are printed on the finest archival photographic materials available. All images appreciate in value as the editions sell out.
Ben’s collection of panoramic images have, heart, emotion and amazing depth. And his journey continues…
