Biography: Jaime Hayon was born in Madid in 1974, although his career has evolved around the world in places such as Los Angeles, Paris, Treviso, Italy (where he was creative director in Fabrica’s design department), Hong Kong and New York. Labelling him as a designer would not be enough for this young promise, a multifaceted creator who has performed a wide range of roles in contemporary creation, dissolving the borders of the often separated fields of art & design. His work has always been developped in very different levels, from his well-known art-toys to the sophistication of the bath furniture collection he has recently developed for ArtQuitect Edition, developping as well projects for big brands such as Coca Cola, Font Vella, Danone, Benetton, FAD, etc. His work has been featured in many cutting-edge design publications sucha as Wallpaper*, Interni, Surface, Oxygen, Domus, Abitare, iD, Studio Voice or IdN (which devoted him the cover in the last issue), and he has shown his work in prestigious spaces like Vitra Design Museum, David Gill Gallery (London), Stay Gold Gallery (New York) or London Design Museum.
