Biography: Born in Quebec City in 1940, Bruno had a keen sense for drawing and great eye for art at a young age. He grew up surrounded by creativity by being exposed to his family’s successful publishing business, which he himself joined in 1957.His desire to paint was undeniable and by 1960 he had withdrawn from the family business to devote himself entirely to painting. Bruno learned his craft by travelling across Canada and painting its vast countryside and has been recognized as one of the country’s leading landscape artists. He is known for his use of richness in texture and colour. He uses precise tones to activate the light in his paintings and to accentuate the darks in a very skilled way. This brings a sense of life and depth to all of his pieces .Bruno continues to reside in Montreal and paint his country that he knows so well.
