Biography: Franziska Klotz was born on 8th May, 1979 in Dresden. At the age of 16 she moved to Copenhagen, where she continued her musical education. In 1998 she absolved her Royal School of Music in classical singing and piano. After finishing secondary school, she returned to where she had internships in the Berliner Ensemble, Volksbühne and Staatsoper. During this time she became a member of the international Dance Theater Group Grotest Maru. In 1999 she studied Stage Design and Costume at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste,
Dresden. One year later she switched to Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weissensee where she studied Fine Arts and Painting until 2005 as a student of Prof. Werner Liebmann. In 2005 she was also awarded the Max Ernst Prize of the City Brühl.
