Biography: Spiros Koursaris was born in Corfu, in 1950. Studied painting and scene designing at the Superior School of Fine Arts in Athens (1969- 1974). Works of his can be found at the National Gallery of Athens, the ministry of Culture, in the collections of the Bank of the Agriculture, the Ergo Bank, the O.T.E (the Public Telephone Company), at private museums and collections.
In 1983 he took part in the exhibition for the Greek Month in Vienna (Internationalles Kulturcentrum), in Brussels, in 1988, with works from the National Gallery (Peinture Grecque 1968- 1988), in Limassol of Cyprus (CYMEPA) in 1995 and Dubai in 2006.

Dedication of the literature magazine “Porfyras” in issues 81- 82 1997. The monthly Literature Magazine “Eythini” hosted works of his in its issues, in 1998. In 1999 he took part with his works in the CD ROM of the Ministry of Education “The Private and Public Life of the Ancient Greek”. He lives and works in Athens. He is a member of EETE. He teaches in the Dimokritio University of Thrace
