Biography: George Moiseyev was born in Russia, and began to draw before he could walk. During the fifty years of his life, he has engaged in a great many and varies activities. He has worked as a designer engineer, a wood cutter, a geologist-radiometrist in the mountains of Eastern Siberia, a butcher, been to sea as a mechanical officer, worked as a construction laborer in the Negev and in Jerusalem, served as a translator for a Russian newspaper and smoked fish in his own factory. All the while, he has never stopped drawing and painting. Although he considers Boris Yukhvits, Henry Matisse and Masha Shcherbakova his teachers and mentors, he has nevertheless succeeded in retaining his childlike qualities, ever expressed in his art. Moiseyev considers the Israeli, Middle-Eastern light of great importance, providing him with infinite inspiration for his paintings. Since 1975, he has exhibited regulary in both Israel and abroad. He is a member of the Israeli Artists Union and, since 1995, a member of the International Federation of Artists (IFA). As of 2008, he resides in Tel-Aviv, Israel.



Exhibition History: Exhibited in Galleries in New-York, Exhibited in Numerous Galleries across Israel and abroad.

Collections: George Moiseyev's collections are publicly displayed in his own gallery, Paleta. He is exhibiting and constantly changing the displayed collection in his gallery.
