Biography: I was born in Kecskemét on the 27th of May, in 1952. After finishing primary school, I attended a secondary art school in Budapest, where I studied ceramics. In 1973 I was admitted to the Academy of Applied Arts in Budapest as a student of ceramics.
At the Academy I was taught by:
Árpád Csekovszky - ceramist
Ferenc Kovács - sculptor
József Litkey - painter
György Segesdy - sculptor
I took my degree in ceramics in 1979. Between 1979 and 1990 I worked as a designer at the Zsolnay porcelain factory in Budapest. During this time I won several design competitions, among them I gained the Design Award of the Ministry of Construction. As a ceramist, I also created mural works for public institutions. Since the beginning of the 90s I have been interested in applied graphics, which turned me from plastic to plane arts. Since 1995 I have regularly taken part in Hungary as well as abroad so as to show the public the results of my continuous work.
I have been influenced by:
Antonio Tapies
Kurt Schwitters
Ben Nicolson
Lili Ország
Serge Poljakoff
István Birkás
