Biography: The Art of ³Lifecasting² by Ken Clarke Well known Lifecaster Ken Clarke renowned to be the best lifecaster in the world with 35 years experience working in the International Film Industry. Ken¹s moulding and casting abilities have been seen around the world on many Blockbuster movies. Ken is also a familiar face at ³Erotica² Olympia, London and also the G-Max Centre Manchester, being the world¹s largest Erotic live shows around today. Ken can be found at these shows exhibiting his work and chatting easily to mesmerised onlookers whilst demonstrating his skills as he takes a mould from a model¹s breast to demonstrate the art of lifecasting. In 1964 Ken started a five year apprentiship at the famous ³Shepperton Film Studios² whilst simultaneously spending time at the Art and Craft College ³Lime Grove² for his ³City and Guilds². Ken stayed with Shepperton for a further 4 years before going freelance at Pinewood Studios, MGM, Twickenham, Borehamwood, Bray and many more in the UK. From here Ken moved to the International Film market and travelled the world working on big Blockbuster movies working with film stars such as Kim Novak, Richard Burton, Tony Curtis, Michael Cane, Oliver Reed, Peter O¹Toole, Elizabeth Taylor and many more. .
At that time Ken was self motivated, self employed and spent many years working on locations and producing moulds for films like ³Pink Panther² with Peter Sellers. ³Superman² with Christopher Reeves. ³Midnight Express² directed by Alan Parker. ³The Shining² with Jack Nicholson ³The Aliens² with Sigourney Weaver all which required make- up effects, special effects , animatronics, bullet hits, cuts, blood, gore and many more.
In 1982 Ken was asked by Rick Baker America¹s greatest make-up effects artist to form a specialised Lifecasting department to create the Ape and monkey suits for the movie ³Greystoke². Ken¹s team moulded many actors and actresses, artists, stunt men and women to form the entire group of apes that made the movie seen today. From this Ken progressed to movies such as all four ³Star Wars² and all the Adventures of ³Indiana Jones². It was from these experiences working with the great Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and of course Harrison Ford that made Ken continue with Lifecasting within the Film Industry. It is possible from these early opportunities that drove and influenced the building of the company ³Body Sculpture².
Ken still works within the film industry on Action films making spare body parts for the movies such as² The Fifth Element² with Bruce Willis ³Mortal Combat² ²The Mummy²,² The Planet of the Apes² and just recently ³Tomb Raider11² with Angelina Jolie.
