Biography: Born in 1957 in Kerala and did his Diploma in Painting from College of Fine Arts, Trivandrum, Kerala followed by his Post Diploma in Graphic Arts from Viswa Bharati University, Santiniketan. From 1986 to 1993 he worked as a Lecturer in printmaking and Head of the Department of Graphics at Indira Kala Sangeet Vishvavidyalaya, Khairagarh, C. G. 1995 - 1998 he was invited as a Visiting Fellow at Govt. College of Fine Arts, Trivandrum, Kerala, Bharatiyar College of Fine Arts Pondicherry and Chandigarh.
He has received a number of Fellowships, Scholarships and International Awards during the period of 1982 to 1999. National Academy Award of 42nd National Art Exhibition by Central Lalit Kala Academi, New Delhi in 2000, Kala Kausthub Samman, a honour award by kalavart Nyas, Ujjain, MP in 2004, Special Grand Prize won for Internatioanl Print Biennial Award of Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, MP in 2006. He participated in Contemporary Indo-U.S. Graphics exhibition at Mannhattan New York, New Delhi, Chandigarh and Jaipur Rajasthan during 2004 to 2005, Print exhibition at Mahatma Gandhi Institute, Moka in Mauritius in 2006.
He has held 6 Solo Exhibition and 16 Group exhibitions if his works in different parts of the country. He has participated in several International work shops and camps organised by Lalit Kala Acadamies and Birla Academy etc.., including two International Awards of Print Art Biennials 2006.
He works and lives in Chattisgarh.
