Biography: Karol Petres was born on the 12 February 1974 in Kosice, Slovak Republic. He studied at the Faculty of Art, Technical University in Kosice between 2002 and 2006. He has had a number of solo and mixed exhibitions from 1999 to date in Slovak Republic, Germany and Romania. Karol Petres has been working with oil, acrylic and tempera as well as with Indian ink. The artists outstanding work is very expressionistic and gripping and in his latest pieces of art he uses even more vibrant and complementing colours. His paintings are full of energy, just like his own temperament.
