Biography: THE PICTORESQUE SHOUT OF TRIANA

The work of Carlos Triana reflects charm and the knowledge of how to enjoy the richness of nature through his ability as a painter of formless, clear and precise but not rhetoric images. His secret for so much landscape is not the actual reality of natural surroundings but the selection of one certain suggestive landscape, there lays his unique sensitivity to appreciate and capture a charming landscape. His landscapes are not archetypes or timeless, but symbols of an intimate encounter between a geographical knowledge and the tenacity of free will in picturesque expression of landscapes. A crossroad of spaces and memories of his journeys and experiences imposes itself in an immediate manner. In this crossroad of plastic suggestions of landscapes, he explores his artistic ability in order to evoke his specific picturesque answers. This talent of necessary freedom for his own creations allows him to dig deeper in the work of a landscape artist and a painter without prejudices.

L'opera di Carlos Triana riflette l'incantevole e il saper godere della natura prodiga, per mezzo della sua capacita' di pittore di schiette immagini, nitide, precise e non retoriche. Il suo segreto di fronte a tanto paesaggio non è il realismo del dintorno naturale se non che la selezione di un determinato paesaggio affascinante, lì si ercepisce la sua speciale sensibilità per vedere e plasmare un incantevole paesaggio.

He has been awarded with 11 prices, the most important one is: 1st Price in the Maraven Room (3 years consecutively). His work can be found in Simon Rodriguez University, Caracas; Valle Arriba Club, Caracas; Vultesa, Tenerife; Museo Sacro del Santuario Insular Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves, Canarian Islands; La Palma, Iberia, Caracas; Electricity of Caracas and Pinoteck of the Institute of Education and Culture in Galipan, La Tahona, Caracas.
