Biography: A graduate of the Atlanta College of Art (now Savannah College of Art & Design), Marcucci has lived in the United States since 1981. After working for local design firms such as Wagner Bruker Design and Jan Lorenc Design, he relocated to Los Angeles in 1990, where he worked for Disney Imagineering on EuroDisney theme park's signage systems.
His work as a sculptor and painter can be summarized in two primary bodies of work titled “Wheatfields” and “Chemical Still-Life”. While these two series can appear completely different from each other, both sculptures and paintings share an obsessive attention to detail and craftsmanship. Additionally, they both focus on a theme related to food production in the industrial society.
“Chemical Still Life” is a series of realist still-life portraits featuring contaminated produce due to pesticide overuse. “Wheatfields” instead, is a series of minimalist, abstract and geometric wall-mounted sculptures created of edible materials such as spaghetti, rice and nori seaweed.

Exhibition History: Since his first solo show held in 1982 at the Ann Jacob Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia, his work has been exhibited in many group and solo events at museums, galleries and cultural centers in the United States, Asia and Europe.
