Small Talents- Unique Photos by Davis and Davis:
Photography team, Davis and Davis, find abandoned toys and then use them to create thematic commentary on psychological themes stemming from "inner child" concepts.
"Small Talents", a body of nine tungsten Polaroid photographs, centers on individual subjects; each describe unrealistic expectations overlooked by ego-centered motivations.
Denise Davis and Scott Davis, began using found toys in the mid-1990s. Work from, "Childish Things" and "Case Study Families" can be viewed at Zone 9 Art
Davis and Davis have exhibited in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. Publications that have reviewed their work include: The LA Times, Glue Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Bay Guardian, Bold Magazine, Los Angeles Downtown News, and Artweek.
