Nature – Paintings by Kazi Ghiyasuddin
If we agree that simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication, viewing painting’s by Kazi Ghiyasuddin, should be an indulgence and a pleasure trip, when following a path of natural abstraction. The artist originates from Bangladesh, but he has influences of the Far Eastern ideals, as his major half of art education had been taken care by that part of the world, which can clarify his visual orientations. As Harou Sanda, an art journalist from Japan puts it, Ghiyasuddin's lyricism by the hue of transparentness and free frame structure with symbolic figures in his works remind us of two great innovators in painting in the twentieth century: Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee. His works can be considered as personal documentation of the vibrations that he senses, within and adjoining him. Straining the vital essence of the life and environment, and putting it up for it viewers should be recognized as an important contribution to art empowerment. And, that is exactly what Aakriti Art Gallery at 12/3 A, Picasso Bithi (Hungerford Street). Kolkata 700 017, is doing. Exhibition of paintings by Kazi Ghiyasuddin , titled as “Nature” will be on show from Tuesday, 20th January 2009 at 6 pm to 31th January, 2009. This exhibition will be inaugurated by Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner, Syed Masud Mahmood Khundoker.
