Ade's airbrush paintings:
Adelardo Matamoros, Ade, presents his paintings for the first time in Sitges. This is an exhibition on which the artistic department of Hotel Estela Barcelona - Art Hotel, had great interest and that due to the numerous commitments of the artist has been postponed in time.
However, the relationship between the artist and the artistic hotel is long since he was commissioned to design and carry out the decoration of the parking of the hotel lot in 1996. Since then, the hotel's art gallery has been following his footsteps.
The parking was decorated with images of high-class vehicles, and several paintings with which the artist paid homage to Rene Magritte, the surrealistic master.
Ade's painting has been created, entirely, using the technique of airbrushing, vehicle through which he expresses himself. The first thing that stands out in his paintings is his incredible technical mastery. It may be recalled, the great difficulty that this technique involves.
So masterly, the artist deploys all these technical resources to offer a work with a publicity iconography based on photographic hyperrealism. However, his versatility leads him, at times, to show some series with a surrealistic flavour.
As reference of his wide curriculum, we can mention the fact that he has spent many years working in the advertising world in the United States and Europe, as an example, we may cite the great airbrushing painting he carried out, based on the Parisian cathedral of Notre Dame for the movies multinational Walt Disney, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Euro Disney park in the French capital.
As an added attraction to the exhibition, attendees will be able to visit the above mentioned airbrushing paintings in the parking of the hotel.
This exhibition will open on Friday February 20th at 20:00 h at the Iris Gallery of Hotel Estela Barcelona - Art Hotel and will be open to the public throughout the month of March.
