Opening on Saturday 5/5/2009 at 6 pm. It will be possible to visit the exhibition until the 5/24/2009 from 4 to 8 pm every day but on Thursday.

There are moments in the contemporary world when we could immediately realize the historical significance of an event. The election as U.S. president of Barack Obama is one of them. President Obama has a new, serious, innovative political agenda, but this would be trivial if compared with the fact that he is the first African-American president of the USA. The most powerful democracy on Earth has become aware that talent has no racial boundaries. This turn over of a long and bloody history is what we would like to celebrate with this exhibition of American and Italian artists.

Esistono momenti della contemporaneità in cui ci si rende conto della portata storica di un evento immediatamente. L’elezione a presidente degli Stati Uniti di Barack Obama è uno di questi. Il presidente Obama ha un programma serio e innovativo per molti versi ma ciò è tuttavia banale se raffrontato col fatto che è il primo presidente afroamericano. La più potente democrazia sulla terra si è resa conto di quanto sia stupido rinunciare al talento di una persona a causa di pregiudizi razziali. E’ questo superamento di una lunga e sanguinosa storia che intendiamo celebrare con questo incontro di artisti americani con artisti del nostro paese.
