Sandhi Schimmel Gold creates mosaic portraits from recycled materials including business mail postcards, art gallery cards and old greeting cards. Her style can be compared to that of Andy Warhol and Peter Max, but her technique is reflective of contemporary culture. Her portraits reveal the artist’s idea of beauty as it is represented in contemporary society. Exhibition Opening Friday, May 1st 5-9pm.
