Note of the organiser:
Indian Artists Network is extremely happy to welcome all art lovers to our exhibitions in Indonesia and Singapore the countries that are India’s ‘Natural Friends’ in this part of the world and a reliable Partners in India’s vision of achieving global peace and prosperity.
We are looking for art galleries and organizations as our partner to hold outstanding Indian artists exhibitions in major art galleries outside India .Indian Artists Network was basically formed to forge alliances like minded art promoters around the world for holding International exhibitions of Indian artists every year, in reputed art galleries.
Globalization is a natural outcome of human thinking and it’s passion for growth. Boosted by the revolutionary Internet, this process of globalization, it seems, has become irreversible and has all inherent potential to change human relationships, cultural balances and commercial equations which may have devastating effect on the physical and psychological health of man and his environment. Let us strive hard to see that the globalization works for us in most positive way.
Now the question is ‘what is the role of creative artists in this whole process?’ or ‘Is there any role at all?’ or ‘Is there any extra responsibility for those humans who think that they are more creative?’ Can we really afford the cost of commercial success at ‘Any Cost’?
Fully getting dissolved into globalization process to reap its benefits and at the same, retaining our separate cultural identity will be the challenge of the future. Is retaining a separate cultural identity really necessary? Even if the answer is ‘Yes’, everything is merging into each other and Cultures are no exceptions. Every nation’s culture is impacted by Global culture that is evolving rapidly. What we absorb from global culture and what we reject will finally decide the future of all Fine Arts and ultimately the culture of each nation. It’s an eternal evolutionary process that will take us to unimaginable destinations.
Cultural interaction between countries has that tremendous power to bring peoples of the nations closer to each other through dialogues and co-operation. Massive People- to- people contact between nations is a Cultural power that has in-built capacity to stop any impending attack of one nation on another. Protection of Human lives, Eternal values and environment that is nurtured over centuries is are too big a task to be left solely in the hands of few politicians. Let us help them help us to preserve all that is so essential for overall peace ,prosperity and happiness in the world.
Indonesia’s ‘Bhinneka Tunggal Ika’ is absolutely same as India’s very own ’Vividhata mein Ekta’ Ancient Indian Sanskrit phrase of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (The whole world is one single family) may remain the guiding principle for all creative artists everywhere around the world. Entire humanity, if it wants to exist, has no choice but to walk on the Divine path of Religious harmony, Universal brotherhood and peaceful co-existence.
Living with dignity is the only fine art in life. Everything else is commercial art for survival. If life is an attempt to impart value and meaning to the most ordinary and mundane acts of life, then Fine Arts are definitely in the forefront of that Divine attempt. Devastating tragedies will keep on striking and damaging human life and environment as long as there are humans who are ready to sell their souls at a price to gain that illusive glory. If creative artists can’t be a Dignified and Humane force of the society then who else can be?
We hope to survive happily by solely depending on genuine art buyers and committed art galleries who are mainly interested in looking at actual quality of artworks than depending on few fraudulent art mafias around the world who are into business of selling signatures and exploiting antiquities irrespective of the quality of artworks. We humbly accept highly critical evaluation of our art by knowledgeable art buyers than shining in the glory of afterthoughts in the flowery language of fake art critics who can be summoned anytime to write for anyone. We firmly refuse to yield to the pressures of these sophisticated criminals who neglect genuine outstanding artists throughout their life and auction the soil of their graveyards in the name of preserving art and culture.
The turbulent social conflicts will always throw Fine Arts to peripheral insignificant position but it’s really powerful role is in the times of peace when it can nurture an atmosphere which will prevent entire mankind from entering into painful social conflicts. The chances of survival of Fine Arts are far greater in times of peace, prosperity and happiness than in times of violence, hatred and war. Thus it becomes imperative for all creative artists to spread a message of peace and tolerance, at least for it’s own survival.
With this exhibition, let us all commit ourselves to this divine path of Peace, and non-violence shown by Mahatma Gandhi, one of the greatest human soul and a visionary that ever lived on this earth.
Your's Sincerely,
Ajit Vahadane
