Gallery Statement:
EDGE Gallery
After ten years of exploration and practice in creating architecture and interior space, EDGE Architects is moving forward to redefine the boundary in between architects, artists and designers. From there, we expect to draw a new edge for creativity and innovation.
Located in a quiet setting amidst the bustle of Causeway Bay, we aim at encouraging interaction and communication. EDGE Gallery plays the role of linking and establishing a space from semi-commercial to cultural exhibitions. We show monthly exhibitions and promotions for our contemporary and experimental paintings, sculptures, prints, photography, mixed-media and instalation pieces, all by prominent and emerging artists from Hong Kong and overseas.
EDGE promotes and supports the commissioning of works of art by local and international emerging and telented artists. We organise exhibitions, participate in arts events, arrange overseas exhibitions and develop programs to build their profiles. In addition, their art works can be applied to our Clients in architecture and interior projects.
Based as an architect and interior designer, EDGE provides art consultancy services by working closely with artists to provide the best artwork placement solution to our Clients of hotels, clubhouse, restaurants, office and residential projects.
EDGE is the perception that points define the edge, edges define the form and forms define space-time. Through the operation of fragmentation and unity, surface dislocates from the forms, EDGE dislocates from the surfaces. EDGE is dependent upon one¡¦s own perspective. It can be a sketchy shadow, or a boundary containing a definitive blueprint.
