Established in 1989 by Renu Modi, Gallery Espace is one of India’s leading art galleries with a cutting-edge split-level viewing space designed to appropriately showcase Contemporary Indian art that features a range of approaches in form and content. For almost two decades, the gallery has constantly traversed borders and boundaries, engaging with leading individuals and organizations of the art world and giving a much-needed platform to many previously unknown talents who have today become stars. By way of well-conceptualized shows, which attempt to explore the intensely personal relationship between the artists and their ‘work’, the gallery has been successful in sustaining a dialogue with the viewers at the level of artistic perception & aesthetic debate.
