Other prominent artists whom the Gallery represents include Prof. Gulammohammed Sheikh, K. Laxma Goud, Prof. K.G. Subramanyan, Krishen Khanna, Anupam Sud, Akbar Padamsee, and Gieve Patel.
The Guild’s identity is characterized by seeking cutting edge young artists, and nurturing them over a period of time making it possible for them to take risks and create ambitious projects. The Gallery first showed Photographic works in its gallery in 2004 by Riyas Komu when it was not fashionable to do so. Since that time, it has shown Akbar Padamsee Photographs and is putting together a significant collection of works of this medium.
In order to continue with the idea of shaping and reshaping artistic ideas and concepts that emerge within a lively environment and an international platform, Guild New York, will represent trend setting artists from around the world. This is especially pertinent and relevant in an art world where curatorial and artistic ingenuity can be understood today only through a broader and more inclusive global contexualization.
