Gallery Statement:
Iguapop is a concert promoter which works since 15 years ago to offer live shows of the best current bands, with risky and minoritary proposals (like Smog, Clem Snide, Mark Eitzel, etc.) but also some of the most mythic tours Spain has seen (such as Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Portishead, Robbie Williams, etc.)

In September 2003 Iguapop opened in Barcelona an open-plan white space located in the “Born” area. Since then, IguapopGallery aims to offer Barcelona artistic trends which can rarely be seen in conventional art galleries, with an exhibition outline focused on urban art and new trends within contemporary popular art, including parallel phenomena such as design, fashion and music, to offer a broad-range vision of popular culture. The space has become a key meeting-point for art, design, fashion and music, being a platform for young Spanish artists and also international outstanding artists who would rarely see their work shown in Spain.

Since its recent opening, IguapopGallery has attracted a huge number of visitors and has received the support of people and media with its open-minded and fresh spirit, popular vocation, alternative ways of promotion and quality proposals.
