Artwork Description:
Painting: Oil on Iron.
This oil painting on heavy iron is inspired by literature of James Joyce and his contrasting literary styles. I was trying to emphasize the stream of consciousness technique that James Joyce utilised within his major works. Also the vision of the stories like Dubliners where he incorporate epiphanies, a word used particularly by Joyce, by which he meant a sudden consciousness of the soul of a thing. I was trying to co joint Finnegans Wake, Exiles, Dubliners and Ulysses in one move of this great author.
This painting is fully framed but relatively heavy.
