Artwork Description:
An armature of vine
woven in the form of a female figure, twisting in a spiral. She is then Fleshed with tissue squares dipped
in Amber Shellac. A Second layer of tissue in white paraffin wax is built upon that skin.
Each square has a confession of an
offense I have committed, from base insults; not doing the dishes, eating the last of the fries, being late to meet a friend,..... to
dramatic offenses; suffocating a kitten, not crying at my grandmothers funeral, ect.
All these offenses
are things everyone can commiserate with, some taken out of context are terrible. They are subtly legible allow the viewer a revelation
of there own.
