Artwork Description:
A corner of a block had been used in a centuries old stone wall. During a renovation, the wall was taken apart, and the piece recognized as 'statuario di Michelangelo', coming from a quarry he opened nearby, and discarded probably because it was too small. It might also have been chipped off a large block used for something else, but in any case, it's great material to work with.
